Hand-crafted from the Soul, to be cherished by the Heart.
Bespoke jewellery, made in New Zealand.
Kia Ora,
Welcome to Silver and Soul Jewellery, where reclaimed vintage silverware is repurposed and handcrafted, into bespoke and meaningful jewellery pieces that tell a unique story.
Come on in and feel free to explore an exquisite collection of custom vintage jewellery. Each piece promotes yesteryear style, story-telling, respect for history, commitment to artistry, repurpose and sustainability.
I particularly specialise in ‘Spoonie jewellery.’ And am passionate about advocacy of the ‘Spoon Theory.’ Each ‘Spoonie’ piece is made in honour of the ‘Spoonie’ community. And, anyone, like myself, who is living with chronic illness or mental health struggles.
These ‘Spoonie’ pieces can be spotted easily throughout the site, just look out for the tell-tale ‘🔵’ in the listing title.
All my pieces are polished, but vintage. With the many imperfections reflecting their age, story and history of use. However, they are still full of beauty, resilience, grace and strength. Very befitting of what it’s like to live with Chronic illness daily…
May you always have…One more spoon.
I also love to make custom pieces using YOUR own silverware. Had some old family pieces handed down to you, and you're not sure what to do with them? Send them in to S.A.S and I will create something that can be passed down the family line for generations to come! What better way to honour your loved ones and have a beautiful piece of jewellery too.
Everything is made from my ‘Spoon Room’ which is stationed inside my home, in Cambridge, Waikato. However, I’m happy to post tracked, nationwide.
Alternatively, if you’re feeling up to it, you are more than welcome to come by for a visit to my ‘Spoon room’ in Aspin Rd. Please feel free to PM me for an appointment, if you’d like to pop in sometime.
Also, feel free to join our little S.A.S ‘Spoonie community.’ Over on fb….

The Silver and Soul Story

Kia Ora,
I’m RayRay. The heart and hands, behind Silver and Soul Jewellery.
I was diagnosed in 2018 with ‘chronic and progressive’ Fibromyalgia. Fibro is a chronic pain and fatigue illness. Which can (and does) lead to extended periods of time in bed.
I have been an avid advocate for the 'Spoon Theory.' And became a 'Spoonie' myself, after discovering the theory online, two years after my diagnosis.
And, when my health started declining again. I knew I wanted to do something creative and meaningful for this space, while also incorporating my love for vintage and repurposing.
So now, I fill my days with my new 'passion project.' Handcrafting jewellery from vintage cutlery. I’m particularly passionate about creating spoon rings and other ‘Spoonie’ jewellery and accessories.
I make these ‘Spoonie’ pieces so that people like myself, can have a wearable reminder of what living with a chronic illness can mean for everyday life, and how important it is for energy conservation.
But also, so that if you do find yourself with no 'spoons' left, you will always have one more in reserve.
May you always have… One more spoon.
🩵🥄🩵
I’m just out here feeding the love. To as many people as possible, as much as possible. One spoon at a time.
Arohanui,
RayRay. Xx

I Visited RayRay in her “spoon room” to purchase a gift for my partner. Choosing was very hard because the range on offer was huge! Every item was so unique and beautifully handcrafted. I ended up buying more than I intended to. Easy gift buying for all the family, men included.

I purchased and have been gifted beautiful works of art from the amazingly talented Rayray. I found her a pleasure to deal with and am currently shopping on the website for Christmas presents to share her skills and story with my entire circle. Thank you for your hard work and love you've put into my pieces.
